Project Overview

The Fit Kidz concept was created to help kids in single child families in China to socialise and play together. The brief was to create an indoor assault course that could be incorporated into one side of a standard U shaped indoor play area.

The design separated the whole play area into 2 sections – ‘free play’ for the main modules and big slides and ‘speed play’ for the assault course.

The courses were designed so that both teams had the same start and end points but they were directed through different routes, in varying directions up and down through the levels so they would pass each other not knowing who was in the lead until the home stretch. The final obstacle would be to race down a tube slide and run for the finish line to try to score the winning team time.

I was asked to produce several designs for the Fit Kidz range to fit various sized buildings and budgets.
